Gaia: The Diary of Climate Change
Episode 8: Vivek Ananda and The Vedas
Six years ago
It must have been Spring of 2015 — I cannot remember the exact year and season. I had this feeling that my husband was time traveling and that he wasn’t really my husband. I also woke up finding a knife that was in my dream, in my kitchen. I began to think about how matter transfers from dream to reality, and the nature of reality. I read about my past life and the texts that helped me understand nature. I downloaded books by Vivek Ananda and the four Vedas. It was my reading of the Vedas that sped up the chase to stop me. I was in a restaurant in Dusseldorf by the Rhine reading the Vedas on my iPad. As I compared my experience to the text, it was crystal clear to me that he was a time traveler and that I was caught in a warped game between two entities who wanted to own every experience and every human being on Earth. I shut down my iPad. I felt thunderclaps but it was sunny. Somehow I left my iPad behind at the restaurant as I felt the motion of events changing. I returned to the restaurant to pick up my iPad. They said they have it but I would have to come back another day to get it. When I returned they said they have no idea what iPad I was referring to.
If he’s not my husband, whose husband is he? I think he is sometimes Adele’s husband, sometimes Taimur’s husband. I think Adele wrote Rolling in the Deep when I got pregnant with Bashō.
We could have had it all
(You’re gonna wish you never had met me)
Rolling in the deep
(Tears are gonna fall, rolling in the deep)
You had my heart inside of your hands
(You’re gonna wish you never had met me)
And you played it to the beat
I want to tell Adele that she can have her husband. I want nothing to do with him. I just want my children back.
Today
We are in possession of so many books to help us leap forward, opening up our minds about the existence of God and his incredible vastness that is also our vastness, yet we lurk in the darkness fighting over who will rise. In June 2020 — Indian and Chinese soldiers used their hands, sticks, and stones to hurl each other off the glacier they were guarding.
Whether it is the Tao Te Ching, the Koran, or the Rig Veda — we are talking about the same man who is the force. It is the destiny of all men and women to rise.
Next 1,000 years
A second plus a second adds up to a thousand years. In this manner of mindfulness, China and India are the best of friends, taking part in rituals of hope and peace with the meaning and depth of their ancestral teachings. They work closely to protect human freedom, biodiversity, and the water bodies that Asia’s civilizations rely on for sustenance.
