Meetings on Earth: This is not a Song

When war surrounds me, I start searching for imaginary lovers. In the trenches, you want something to look forward to!

After brushing teeth, I croon in Telugu a dreamy love song and my eyes begin to sparkle, oozing stars.

After doing yoga for 36 hours, I contemplate sleeping for the rest of the evening but then I remember you and I feel a surge of energy running through my heart. I giggle and start running from corner to corner with my hands in the air.

I see us on a sunny day walking, I am tip-toeing on your feet wearing a cotton kimono of red, white, and gold. I can never picture your clothing but I can see your arms. I must run now with hands in the air, corner to corner in my room.
